I mean, yes and no. The platforms that Google indexes are where we want to spend our time, which helps us decide where NOT to spend our time (and money).

That said, if someone disagrees with all the billionaires sucking up to certain people #ahem, that is certainly a valid viewpoint, I can see why they'd leave X or Meta.

Love this--especially appreciated your suggestion that in the face of author marketing we might want to resort to carrier pigeons. :) I agree with you, though, less is more when it comes to outreach for authors or at least, for me so that I can maintain my sanity.
