Welcome to my BadRedhead Media, LLC Substack!
Are you a writer who wants to learn how to sell more books? Let's get to it.
Everyone needs a coach or guide. Book marketing is no different.
If you’ve followed me on social media, you know book marketing can be overwhelming.
Let’s fix that.
Are you a writer of any kind? Welcome. You belong here.
Each week(ish), I’ll share practical tips, recommendations, awareness of new writerly stuff (AI, anyone?), and social media, the one thing you can count on to constantly change.
I’m not about the bullshit. I use and share practical tips, resources, and techniques available to all without bells and whistles. If there’s an affiliate link, I will tell you. I only share stuff that works for me. Think of me as your guinea pig.
Two tips you can use today:
Did you know you can download royalty-free photos from Unsplash? Beautiful, and no monies are required. They also have illustrations if that’s your jam. Lots of sites for this, however, I find Unsplash to truly have gorgeous photos, like these:

You can create free, easy, universal book links from Booklinker. No monetary requirement. Ever. Why do we need these? It’s much easier for both authors and readers to deal with one link that goes to that country’s online stores, like Amazon.

Reader Question of the week:
Q: Should I keep building my MailChimp newsletter or should I start a Substack?
A: Well, clearly, I think Substack is a great option. I’m here! I do have concerns about SEO efficacy - are these posts indexed by Google? I’m researching that. At this point, I suggest blogging or vlogging somewhere so new, fresh content is picked up by search engines and most importantly, is associated with you and your site, blog, and books.
