Rachel offers great tips for repurposing content to get more bang for your buck with little extra work.
She touches on creating evergreen elements that work throughout the year. To that I'd add, create entire evergreen content from the start. Then it's just a matter of copying with little concern about time or place. That's almost a lost cause this time of year with a lot of source material tied to the holidays, but give it your best shot. You'll be happier in July.
Meanwhile, give Rachel's pointers your full attention.
I'm doing a website refresh in anticipation of my forthcoming book, Love and Other Incurable Ailments, so I've been communicating with my designer. She told me, "Your blog is still the most visited part of your site, which is wonderful and unusual - most authors struggle to get traffic there."
That is in part due to advice *you* gave years ago that regular blogging makes a difference. I made a commitment to blog 2 to 4 times a month. I share links everywhere--it matters!--and now I can recycle relevant posts from ten years ago.
I really like repurposing video into clips and written content. Also posting on different platforms with a message that matches the platform.
Excellent ideas, Jim. I'm watching you to learn more about video posting. x

Thanks so much, Jim! I appreciate your helpful feedback. (You'll be happier in July - ha!)
The feeling is mutual, Rachel. I’ll keep you on speed dial.
I do this a lot. Screen shots, IG carousel, audio using ElevenLabs, images + audio into a Headliner video, etc.
Sound advice!
Great idea!
